My 18 month old Springer Spaniel had infected ears and a skin irritation. Her veterinarian treated her with antibiotics, ear wash and a steroid shot. Her ears and skin are better now but she has having multiple bowel movements every day and has to urinate constantly. Could this be a reaction to her medications or do you think it is something else?
Increased urine production could be secondary to the steroid injection; however, this may also be indicative of several other health problems, ranging from behavioral to dietary to serious medical conditions. I would recommend an exam with your veterinarian and evaluation of her urine as the first steps for determining what may be causing this symptom.
